[15:22:49]<mstenta[m]>symbioquine paul121 shane_aldrich just realizing I misread the wiki page on Internet Explorer support...
[15:22:58]<mstenta[m]>> Internet Explorer 11 follows the OS component lifecycle,[7] which means it remains supported with technical and security fixes while operating systems including it as a component are shipped. This means that there is no date for end of support for Internet Explorer 11.[8] On August 17, 2020, Microsoft published a timeline indicating that the Microsoft Teams product would stop supporting Internet Explorer 11 on November
[15:22:58]<mstenta[m]>30, 2020, and Microsoft 365 products will end Internet Explorer 11 support on August 17, 2021.[9]
[15:24:21]<mstenta[m]>I still think it's fine for us to drop support for it - especially considering Microsoft itself is dropping support in its own products
[15:25:52]<mstenta[m]>symbioquine: you mentioned that the farmOS 2.x map behaviors already use features that IE11 doesn't support... i wonder if that is true in farmOS 1.x as well? paul121 do you know off the top of your head if the behaviors have changed or are they pretty much the same?
[15:26:34]<mstenta[m]>for what it's worth, we've never had complaints or bug reports about the maps not working in 1.x... so if it already doesn't support IE11 then I don't think we need to worry about it
[15:27:25]<symbioquine[m]><mstenta[m] "symbioquine: you mentioned that "> Yes, but I haven't investigated how much/many. There's a possibility it's just my snapping grid stuff.

[16:03:04]<paul121[m]>There's a chance I might have snuck some modern JS into the 2.x core map stuff... perhaps more generally while refactoring some of our JS code off of jQuery
[16:04:32]<paul121[m]>would be nice if there was a utility that could check for such things in our JS that isn't being processed/packaged
[16:04:55]<paul121[m]>might be hard to identify & test that sort of thing otherwise
[16:54:15]<symbioquine[m]>I suspect we can just run jslint against `**/js/*.js` but it might take some fiddling...
