[20:41:48]<tamtran94[m]>Technical skills & knowledges already blow our mind, so just let the remain work irrelevant to a machine/AI assistant (just notice privacy/information security asset by our own before ask/send to it)
[20:43:25]<tamtran94[m]> * Let me try again on the next day, today I've tried uninstall Apache, but it's hard. Apache everywhere, full uninstalled impossible currently. So, just sure that none of the services are using port 80.
[20:43:25]<tamtran94[m]>Will exit error ASAP 🤔

[21:00:07]<tamtran94[m]>BTW, why don't you make a set of clip course like manual step by step to setup environment with basic and advance for people/organize who have a needs to install on premise (local server, network, etc.)... [21:09:13]<tamtran94[m]> * By the way, have you considered creating a set of video courses that provide step-by-step instructions for setting up farmOS environments, both basic and advanced? These courses could cater to individuals and organizations who need to install farmOS on-premise (local servers, networks, etc.).... [06:16:23]<mstenta[m]>> Let's AI do that work, like: https://g.co/bard/share/4345e1275712
[06:16:24]<mstenta[m]>Wow that is pretty cool tamtran94. These new tools really are worth paying attention to and putting (carefully) into practice!
[06:17:09]<mstenta[m]>> By the way, have you considered creating a set of video courses that provide step-by-step instructions for setting up farmOS environments, both basic and advanced?
[06:17:09]<mstenta[m]>Video courses would be great!
[06:19:34]<mstenta[m]>For what it's worth, I do provide paid farmOS hosting, consulting, and custom development services. ;-)
[06:22:24]<mstenta[m]>But I also hope that more folks in the community will start to provide support services as well. The farmOS project (code) is free and open source, but hosting, customizing, debugging always requires time... and that's not free (unfortunately)
[06:23:13]<mstenta[m]>In an ideal world farmOS can help to provide a source of income to many other groups and individuals who want to help farmers get up and running
[06:25:37]<mstenta[m]>Hosting is definitely one of the biggest hurdles, which is why I also started Farmier.com alongside farmOS. Farmier provides "farmOS as a service" hosting to make it very easy and remove that step for farmers who just want to use farmOS without worrying about the hosting side of things.
[06:26:32]<mstenta[m]>Farmier also provides custom solutions, so if you think that might be useful feel free to send me a private message here or on the forum and I'd be happy to discuss!
[06:26:45]<mstenta[m]>OK I'll stop advertising now. :-)
[06:26:59]<mstenta[m]>ACTION takes off his Farmier hat
[09:34:05]<shplorf[m]><mstenta[m]> "shplorf: Did that php.ini tip..." <- Sorry, I'm not really sure I understand what the tip consists of. I can confirm that my custom `farmos.ini` file is in `/usr/local/etc/php/conf.d/` as per the ["Customizing PHP" section](https://farmos.org/hosting/install/#customizing-php) of the docs, but the warning is still there.
[09:36:06]<mstenta[m]>Oh ok, sorry if I wasn't very clear earlier.
[09:37:45]<shplorf[m]>mstenta[m]: No worries, you said I'm probably fine ignoring it so I'm not too worried about it.
[09:37:51]<mstenta[m]>I was referring to what is described in the "Configuration" section of the official Docker PHP image (which farmOS is built on top of): https://hub.docker.com/_/php
[09:38:27]<mstenta[m]>OK yea I think it's safe to ignore... but my advice comes with no warranty 😅
[09:39:48]<mstenta[m]>I think ultimately it would make sense for farmOS to provide that "production" PHP configuration by default in its farmos/farmos:3.x image (but not its farmos/farmos:3.x-dev image)
[09:40:06]<mstenta[m]>So if we ever get around to doing that, the warning will disappear for you :-)
[09:42:00]<shplorf[m]>On a completely different topic, one of the things I'd like from my farm software is to enable me to make crop plans for the upcoming season. [This module](https://github.com/mstenta/farm_crop_plan) looks like it enables that based on [this thread](https://farmos.discourse.group/t/crop-planning-module/297/1), but from the look of the repo it seems like it's still not quite ready for a 3.0-compatible release. I'm very interested in using this
[09:42:00]<shplorf[m]>functionality for planning for the upcoming season, so happy to offer any help with testing or development(although I am PHP n00b but I can try) to accelerate its release.
[09:45:02]<mstenta[m]>Impeccable timing shplorf :-) I just dusted off that repo recently and started porting it to farmOS v3.
[09:45:22]<mstenta[m]>I can't guarantee it will be ready for the 2024 season, but I'm eager to get as far as I can.
[09:48:43]<shplorf[m]>mstenta[m]: Sweet, so yeah if there are any related tasks that you think I might be able to assist with without slowing you down too much with my ramp-up, LMK
[09:49:49]<mstenta[m]>Will do! Maybe subscribe to that repository as a first step... I plan to clean up the issue queue at some point (all of them are from the v1 work we started years ago).
[09:50:16]<mstenta[m]>I will probably also start a new forum topic as soon as there's something worth getting feedback on.
[09:50:48]<mstenta[m]>My plan is to work more on it before the end of this month, and maybe some next month too. I would really like to have something that I can use for 2024 myself. :-)
[10:14:10]<shplorf[m]><mstenta[m]> "I was referring to what is..." <- Following up on this, I did try copying [this php.ini-production file](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/php/php-src/php-8.2.10/php.ini-production) to `/usr/local/etc/php/conf.d/php.ini` and restarted the container, but I still see the warning.
[10:16:29]<shplorf[m]>Oh lol but that's outside of the files that I persist woops
[10:16:47]<symbioquine[m]><mstenta[m]> "> By the way, have you considere..." <- > <@mstenta:matrix.org> > By the way, have you considered creating a set of video courses that provide step-by-step instructions for setting up farmOS environments, both basic and advanced?... (full message at <https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v3/download/matrix.org/EahBHlSHIfaAlUAy...)
[10:17:10]<symbioquine[m]>Maybe we'll say "AI" for now too.
[10:20:30]<shplorf[m]>mstenta: OK yep, after I actually mounted that php.ini-production file into the container persistently the warning went away. Thanks! 🎉
[14:02:58]<shplorf[m]>I'm having trouble finding where in the UI to enter the Google Maps API for satellite imagery layers. The docs say to go to "Settings > Map", but I haven't been able to find it 🤔
[14:24:20]<mstenta[m]>farmOS includes a Mapbox module, but not a Google Maps module, do you have the Mapbox module enabled?
[14:25:33]<mstenta[m]>Ohhh... and actually "Settings > Map" is actually now "Setup > Settings > Map"... we should probably update docs - where did you find it?
[14:26:05]<mstenta[m]>Also, I'm noticing that "Map" doesn't appear under "Settings" in the main menu, but does appear as a tab when you click "Farm Info" - that's a bug
[14:26:42]<shplorf[m]>mstenta[m]: [Here](https://farmos.org/hosting/install/#api-keys)
[14:27:50]<mstenta[m]>Thanks, we should probably remove Google Maps from that page too since it isn't part of farmOS core anymore
[14:28:26]<mstenta[m]>I'll update that
[14:32:43]<shplorf[m]><mstenta[m]> "farmOS includes a Mapbox module,..." <- I don't see a mapbox module, is it one of the core modules?
[14:33:32]<mstenta[m]>Yes
[14:34:01]<mstenta[m]>Oh looks like it isn't included in the /setup/modules page thought! Oops! I'll fix that too. :-)
[14:34:13]<mstenta[m]>In the meantime, you can go to /admin/modules (the Drupal modules list) and enable it from there
[14:34:53]<mstenta[m]>(Be warned that includes the FULL list of modules that come with Drupal... many of which might not work with farmOS)
[15:09:19]<shplorf[m]>Sweet, got it working, thanks!
[15:18:37]<mstenta[m]>@room I just submitted a funding proposal to pitch in some funds to set up a farmOS/GOAT booth at the Pasa Conference for Sustainable Ag in Lancaster, PA Feb 8-10 2024: https://farmos.discourse.group/t/funding-proposal-farmos-goat-booth-at-p...
[15:19:16]<mstenta[m]>Please vote yes so we can share farmOS at Pasa! 😃
