[01:34:06]<FijiDave>Hi Guys! I just signed up for the trial. I own a 30 acre farm in Fiji. We have 150 ton of sugar cane, goats, chickens, horses and a nft hydroponics system. Hoping to test the software and see how it works for us

[09:49:37]<mstenta[m]>> Ok, patch applied, but still no joy. Cleared caches, same error
[09:49:38]<mstenta[m]>skipper_is were you actually able to apply the patch? or did you get errors? your comment said you got errors? (
[09:50:12]<mstenta[m]>Also: is this the exact same issue? Looks like the same symptom, but are you doing something different to trigger it?
[09:50:43]<mstenta[m]>(Please respond in the issue instead of here - this is too ephemeral)
[09:52:27]<mstenta[m]>spitz234: We don't have a demo farm yet, but you could watch some videos on youtube to see what things look like
[09:53:08]<mstenta[m]>Regarding translations, basically it is possible to translate, but we need people to contribute translations for different languages first
[09:53:37]<mstenta[m]>FijiDave: Great! Hope you find it useful!
[10:19:10]<skipper_is[m]>Ok, I'll have a look this evening again. Is there a simple way of swapping everything over to mysql from PostGresql? It is still a bit too unstable for my farms use...
[10:21:13]<mstenta[m]>skipper_is: Can you make a raw SQL dump? If so you should be able to import that into MariaDB
[14:35:16]<skipper_is[m]>I was applying the patch wrong the first time, doing git apply.... rather than patch
[14:35:42]<skipper_is[m]>So yes, it worked the 2nd time, and I verified that it was there
[14:41:33]<mstenta[m]>Oh great
[14:42:25]<skipper_is[m]>And I have added that error to the other issue log, as the SQLERROR code was the same
[14:43:34]<skipper_is[m]>I have your:
[14:43:44]<FijiDave>Hi Guys, I am have a really hard time setting areas on the map. I setup one, then move onto the second and it moves
[14:43:49]<skipper_is[m]>If I add return array(); to the top of the function farm_movement_area_assets_property_get(), which simply disables that function, then it fixes the issue.
[14:43:53]<FijiDave>when i close and reopen they are not where they are suppose to be.
[14:44:06]<skipper_is[m]>That is odd
[14:44:27]<skipper_is[m]>You could try creating your layers in something like Google My Maps, exporting it as a KML, and importing it into FarmOS
[14:44:39]<skipper_is[m]>Or if you use another GIS package, you could use that
[14:45:56]<FijiDave>I can try..
[14:55:19]<mstenta[m]>FijiDave: I wonder... can you edit one of the areas and take a look at the "Data" below the map...
[14:55:39]<mstenta[m]>That will show the area geometry in WKT (well-known text) which is essentially coded GPS coordinates
[14:56:07]<mstenta[m]>Does it look like some of your GPS coords are invalid? Like... numbers that are too large to be valid lat/lon
[14:57:36]<mstenta[m]>If so, it may be caused by a known issue: if you pan the map horizontally (so it "wraps" around again) it the mouse position doesn't reset properly, which can cause invalid GPS coords
[14:58:02]<mstenta[m]>IIRC this is an underlying issue with the openlayers drawing code we're using...
[14:59:24]<mstenta[m]>If it looks like that's the issue you're facing, and you haven't drawn a lot of areas yet, you might try clearing their geometry, saving them, and then redrawing - being careful not to wrap the map horizontally before you do... and watch the data that is written to the field below as you draw
[14:59:27]<mstenta[m]>(To see if that's in fact the same issue)
[15:00:23]<mstenta[m]>skipper_is: sorry i'm jumping around a bit and need to refresh on the postgres issue - can you post new info to the issue so it's there when i have a chance?
[15:00:28]<mstenta[m]>i'll pick it up there
[15:01:00]<skipper_is[m]>Okay, where abouts am I looking?
[15:07:02]<FijiDave>Ok i will check, thanks
