| [13:14:00] | <Greg[m]> | Hey FarmOS folks... I'm reviewing taxonomy terms and lists, which are really important for some applications I'm working on with Nano... and I found this --> https://www.drupal.org/project/feeds |
| [13:15:17] | <Greg[m]> | has anyone considered or used this? Seems like a potentially nice fit for having external sites manage very large ontologies / lists, but then pulling in what you need locally into a tax term and managing things there. I've been thinking of how something like kicad manages community libraries for components / designs as a similar pattern, and 'feeds' feels like it may be similar |
| [13:15:47] | <Greg[m]> | and example: maybe we maintain large master lists in git, or other locations, and then individual users (or modules) use feeds to 'subscribe' to the portion of the list they want. |
| [13:16:03] | <Greg[m]> | anyway, just curious of what folks think. Could post to the forum for broader discussion there also if that feels appropriate |
