[13:48:25]<StevePlatz[m]>Hi, just starting to check out farmOS, I'm a Drupal developer who is transitioning back to farming. I'm not a huge fan of Element, so I'm trying to figure out if I can use IRC to stay in-touch here, I found irc.farmos.org in the forum threads, but I'm not connecting to that for some reason.
[13:49:29]<mstenta[m]>Hi Steve Platz - welcome to the community! Yes, we have a #farmOS IRC channel on oftc.net (https://webchat.oftc.net/?channels=#farmOS) - which is bridged to this Matrix.org room.
[13:49:47]<StevePlatz[m]>OK, let me try it...
[13:50:15]<mstenta[m]>Everyone is using Matrix at this point, so your mileage may vary... the bridge seems to be pretty consistently stable though.
[13:50:43]<mstenta[m]>We have an IRC bot that logs all messages to irc.farmos.org

[13:51:24]<stephenplatz>OK, that was easy, I'll see if this works for now, thanks mstenta[m] .

[17:48:48]<stephenplatz>I admit that I don't meet too many developers who are also involved with farming in some capacity, although it has made sense to me. I may find farmOS useful for what we're doing now, which is really only a relatively small garlic crop, although even this could likely use another level of organization. In any case, I feel like I've discovered farmOS before, but haven't ever taken the time to really put it to use.
