[09:52:06]<fosten[m]>Update from the Debian mailing list (since several of us are waiting for this): "I can't give you a hard date when Trixie will be released - probably not in July because a large part of that will be Debconf25 in Brest." Conference is July 14-19. Adjust your plans accordingly!
[09:52:34]<mstenta[m]>Ah thanks fosten! I've been checking in from time to time. That's good to know.
[09:54:39]<mstenta[m]>I'm trying to plan ahead for farmOS v4 and Farmier hosting... ideally Trixie gets released and I can migrate all databases to PostgreSQL 17 before v4. But it sounds like that might be a long time to wait.... :-/

[10:09:27]<FarmerEd[m]>I seen nothing 🧑‍🦯
[10:11:58]<mstenta[m]>this is great news! it shows that our decision to use Gin originally (in v2) was a good bet. and we'll have one less dependency in our composer.json once we are able to use it in core!
[10:12:26]<mstenta[m]>(although i wonder what changes/surprises will pop up along the way)

[11:18:45]<pcambra[m]><mstenta[m]> "‼️" <- oh didn't I mention this already :D
[11:25:28]<pcambra[m]>this was completely unnecessary on their part "while Claro has fallen behind"
[11:29:43]<paul121[m]><mstenta[m]> "(although i wonder what changes..." <- I wonder if it will be harder for core to "experiment" with new features like gin has been doing. Maybe we'll need another Gin module?!
