[11:56:36]<mstenta[m]>symbioquine: botlfarm and I are going to be working with some local undergrad CS students on a senior project to build/improve grazing planning/management in farmOS... one idea that came to mind was setting them up with a hosted instance with some demo data and the Asset Link module, so they could experiment with plugins without needing any server/backend access. Do you think that would be a feasible idea?
[11:57:56]<mstenta[m]>A couple of them expressed that they are comfortable with JavaScript, but none of them had any backend experience it seemed. So I'm trying to think of ways to make the process as easy as possible for them to be successful.
[13:32:44]<mstenta[m]>@room 🚨 ATTENTION 🚨: We discovered a nasty bug with the 3.3.0 upgrade path. We'll be releasing 3.3.1 today to fix it. So hold off on upgrading until 3.3.1 is available.
[13:33:26]<mstenta[m]>Details here: https://github.com/farmOS/farmOS/pull/881
[13:40:44]<symbioquine[m]><mstenta[m]> "symbioquine: botlfarm and I..." <- Sounds interesting. I'm happy to answer questions and/or provide more examples if that's helpful.
[13:48:11]<mstenta[m]>Thanks symbioquine! I don't want to create work for you. It would add another layer potentially. But if there are existing examples or resources we can share those with the students too. :-)
[13:54:16]<mstenta[m]>farmOS 3.3.1 release inbound: https://github.com/farmOS/farmOS/actions/runs/11057590612
[14:23:27]<farmBOT>@farmOS@fosstodon.org => #farmOS 3.3.1 has been released! https://github.com/farmOS/farmOS/releases/3.3.1 => https://fosstodon.org/@farmOS/113205243038280687
[14:41:36]<mstenta[m]>symbioquine paul121 Our old friend SQLite3 error is back 🤦 https://github.com/farmOS/farmOS/actions/runs/11057590624/job/30722559263
[14:44:21]<paul121[m]>Just updated my sites to 3.3.1, worked great
[14:44:41]<FarmerEd[m]>Just give up support for SQLite3 😁
[14:46:01]<mstenta[m]>I'm coming closer to that conclusion every day Farmer Ed 😆
[14:46:33]<mstenta[m]>FWIW we may be forced to... https://github.com/docker-library/drupal/issues/264
[14:49:16]<paul121[m]>I'm still using SQLite for the demo site so it's nice to have some peace of mind that things work 😅
[14:50:02]<mstenta[m]>Maybe we could split the sqlite3 tests out to their own github action, so they don't block stuff
[14:52:25]<paul121[m]>But there's also some cool new work happening where you can install and run Drupal entirely in your browser.... I think it uses sqlite3 as well.... https://project.pages.drupalcode.org/drupal_cms
[14:52:48]<paul121[m]>so would be nice to keep support around. I think there are some cool things ahead :-)
[17:25:18]<farmBOT>@farmOS@fosstodon.org => This fixes a critical issue in the upgrade path from farmOS 3.2.x to 3.3.x. For more information, see https://github.com/farmOS/farmOS/pull/881. => https://fosstodon.org/@farmOS/113205302127602660
