[03:08:27]* oswald[m] has joined #farmos
[05:10:12]<oswald[m]>Hello :)... (full message at <https://libera.ems.host/_matrix/media/v3/download/libera.chat/f5bd901581...)
[05:12:00]<lordeddi[m]>hm, i would think those nginx logs would help you some...
[05:12:12]<lordeddi[m]>is there another drupal installed on the server?
[05:12:50]<lordeddi[m]>in that case the farmOS databse should get a prefix when you install the instance. e.h. "farmos_". This is done at that database step
[05:13:07]<lordeddi[m]>another thing is to make sure you have javascript enabled.
[05:13:35]<oswald[m]>No, there is no other drupal installation (on the server or in the databse), just a nextcloud installation alongside it.
[05:13:56]<oswald[m]>But it also advanced to the next step now 🙈
[05:14:17]<lordeddi[m]>in that case: 🎉 good 😄
[05:14:33]<lordeddi[m]>maybe the database step was taking some time
[05:17:16]<oswald[m]>lordeddi[m]: yeah, i think that was it :D
[05:18:13]<oswald[m]>but i still get a deprecation error on the installation pages (configure and modules, so it does advance regardless)... (full message at <https://libera.ems.host/_matrix/media/v3/download/libera.chat/310de3a6e5...)
[05:18:14]<lordeddi[m]>👍️ Have fun w farmOS :D
[05:18:21]<lordeddi[m]> * <del>👍️ Have fun w farmOS :D</del>
[05:18:46]<oswald[m]>thanks a lot for the fast answer, just a quick question regarding the modules setup - can i add them later on?
[05:19:01]<lordeddi[m]> * 👍️ Have fun w farmOS :D
[05:19:21]<lordeddi[m]>Not sure about that error you send, something a dev might know about.
[05:19:40]<lordeddi[m]>Yes, farmOS is based on drupal, which is quite modular.
[05:20:12]<lordeddi[m]>you could add modules later on. Mostly i would recommend having a test-instance of farmOS where you don't mind loosing data.
[05:20:39]<oswald[m]>should i put it on github? i guess it might come from php8.2?
[05:21:23]<oswald[m]>ok, the initialization errors out with:... (full message at <https://libera.ems.host/_matrix/media/v3/download/libera.chat/a47a6e4131...)
[05:22:21]<oswald[m]>and the link to the error page again says The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later.
[05:22:21]<lordeddi[m]>hm, i'm sure a dev will read this chat soon, so no need to put it on git just yet...
[05:23:02]<lordeddi[m]>If you go to the dashboard/home page of that farmOS install (different tab), does it load?
[05:23:37]<lordeddi[m]>i wonder if it has todo with the php version...
[05:23:43]<oswald[m]>no, with the above short message, also nothing new in nginx error.log
[05:23:51]<wotnak[m]>oswald[m]: it will be the php 8.2, farmOS v2 is based on Drupal v9 which doesn't support php 8.2 https://www.drupal.org/docs/getting-started/system-requirements/php-requ...
[05:24:36]<lordeddi[m]>Thinking the same wotnak i can remember having similar issues when installing with a "wrong" minor version of php
[05:25:41]<oswald[m]>wotnak[m]: aye, thanks a lot, are there plans to move to drupal 10?
[05:26:29]<oswald[m]>but i will consider going back to php8.1 - its the same problem with nextcloud, there i also had to use the beta version (26-rc2) for php8.2 support ^^
[05:27:30]<lordeddi[m]>not sure if you can downgrade your php version...
[05:27:30]<lordeddi[m]>yes there are plans to move, but not just yet. There might be something about that in the forum https://farmos.discourse.group/
[05:27:42]<lordeddi[m]>s/not sure if you can downgrade your php version...//
[05:27:50]<lordeddi[m]> * yes there are plans to move to drupal 10, but not just yet. There might be something about that in the forum https://farmos.discourse.group/
[05:27:56]<wotnak[m]>oswald[m]: yes, currently still waiting for some dependencies to update, progress is tracked at https://www.drupal.org/project/farm/issues/3330490
[05:29:37]<oswald[m]>great, i have no hurry ^^ its just because debian testing/bookworm only has php8.2 in the official repos (and debian stable is on php7.4...)
[05:30:11]<oswald[m]> * great, i have no hurry ^^ its just because debian testing/bookworm only has php8.2 in the official repos (and debian stable is on php7.4...)
[05:30:11]<oswald[m]>but i think i can choose the version with the official php repos
[05:31:24]<oswald[m]>wotnak[m]: wonderful, with a quick glance it looks like its nearly there 🤩
[17:25:05]<paul121[m]>Dang that's kinda frustrating with PHP versions oswald ! Hope you were able to get something up for testing
[17:28:52]<mstenta[m]>Yea! We're getting close to D10 though... 😅
