[11:09:46]<mstenta[m]>symbioquine paul121 I'm going to update farmOS-map dependencies to resolve security issues (via `npm audit fix`) and then tag `v2.0.3` (as a prereq for https://www.drupal.org/project/farm/issues/3245399) - OK?
[11:12:11]<symbioquine[m]>mstenta[m]: Yep, sounds good to me :)
[11:13:04]<mstenta[m]>i've got the commits and tag ready to push, but i'll wait for paul121 (i know he's on a call atm)
[11:35:06]<paul121[m]>oh cool! TIL `npm audit fix` .... I guess the `npm install` output prob says that :-)
[11:35:10]<paul121[m]>I wasn't sure if `npm update` would be sufficient
[11:35:48]<mstenta[m]>cool! pushing now
[11:36:11]<mstenta[m]>yea not really sure the difference between `npm audit fix` and `npm update` - maybe the former only touches security updates?
[12:27:32]<jgaehring[m]><mstenta[m]> "yea not really sure the differen..." <- `npm audit fix` applies updates that will fix any known security vulnerabilities... you can run `npm audit` to view a list of any vulnerabilities and commands to fix them manually

[15:35:42]<paul121[m]>we need to build a 2022 monthly call schedule!
[15:36:19]<mstenta[m]>Yes!
[15:36:36]<paul121[m]>Wednesday January 12th would be the second wednesday - still OK with that?
[15:37:02]<paul121[m]>Just want to update when the next call will be, not so concerned about the entire schedule
[15:37:04]<mstenta[m]>Yup
[15:37:12]<mstenta[m]>Cool! Please do!
[15:37:31]<mstenta[m]>I also need to make a new zoom link, and adjust the settings so there isn't a waiting room
[15:38:06]<mstenta[m]>We also talked about jitsi, but I feel like we should stick with zoom for the community calls... Just in the interest of others
[15:38:13]<paul121[m]>or Jitsi?! we should chatted about this
[15:38:32]<paul121[m]>* we should have chatted about
[15:39:09]<mstenta[m]>I feel like I need more confidence that it works well for folks who aren't running chrome/Firefox on Ubuntu 😅
[15:39:25]<paul121[m]>That's fair...
[15:39:39]<paul121[m]>but also doesn't require someone to download zoom
[15:39:41]<mstenta[m]>But I could be convinced :-)
[15:39:50]<mstenta[m]>Yup true
[15:40:38]<mstenta[m]>I suppose we could give it a try and change back if we needed to
[15:42:08]<mstenta[m]>Unless it's included in the calendar file I guess
[15:56:24]<jgaehring[m]>+💯 for Jitsi!
[15:56:44]<jgaehring[m]><mstenta[m]> "I feel like I need more confiden..." <- do you know of issues in the past? otherwise, only one way to find out!
[15:57:06]<mstenta[m]>no - i'm not aware of any known issues
[15:58:00]<mstenta[m]>my main concern is: we provide a calendar file with a link to the call... so if we use one and then switch to another it might cause confusion for anyone that downloaded that file
[15:58:34]<mstenta[m]>although, i suppose we could just link to the monthly call page on farmOS.org instead
[15:58:49]<mstenta[m]>and then we have the flexibility to change the link on that page
[16:02:21]<mstenta[m]>i'm all for using jitsi! and encouraging others to... just mildly concerned that we risk making involvement more difficult - like it or not zoom has become a pretty widely accepted standard, especially in the past 2 years - so bottom line is changing introduces a risk, albeit maybe not a big one
[16:02:44]<mstenta[m]>i wish we could test it a bit somehow :-)
[16:02:59]<mstenta[m]>but maybe that's what the Jan 14th call will be haha
[16:04:42]<jgaehring[m]>or we create a short url?
[16:05:03]<mstenta[m]>oh and then change where it points?
[16:05:28]<jgaehring[m]>yea
[16:05:46]<mstenta[m]>didn't know that was possible - yea that could work too!
[16:06:09]<jgaehring[m]>or not even a short url, maybe just
[16:06:09]<jgaehring[m]>https://farmos.org/community/monthly-call/join
[16:06:18]<mstenta[m]>yeaa with a window.location :-)
[16:06:26]<mstenta[m]>haha
[16:06:38]<mstenta[m]>that's a neat idea
[16:07:15]<jgaehring[m]>no reason to be dependent on an outside service, like bit.ly or goo.gl or whatever other ones exist
[16:07:28]<mstenta[m]>yea
[16:07:45]<mstenta[m]>no need to give them any more information ;-)
[16:08:00]<jgaehring[m]>exactly
[16:09:12]<jgaehring[m]>oy, I need to get moving, so excited about everything though! ahh!!!
[16:10:01]<mstenta[m]>same!
