[21:33:35]<paul121[m]>symbioquine and mstenta want to try and have a farmOS farmOS-map integration chat in a dev call this week?
[21:33:52]<paul121[m]>Or maybe you chatted more in the monthly call?
[21:34:25]<symbioquine[m]><paul121[m] "Or maybe you chatted more in the"> Not much.
[21:36:24]<paul121[m]>Seems like there's two things, behavior settings and likely refactoring `farm_map.js` a bit ?
[21:37:04]<paul121[m]>Thought it might be best figured out with a quick (??) discussion haha
[21:50:59]<symbioquine[m]><paul121[m] "Thought it might be best figured"> Agreed, I might not make it to the dev call this week though... Maybe sometime tomorrow or Friday would work to have a call?
[21:53:23]<paul121[m]>Friday might be better for me as well

[11:14:10]<symbioquine[m]>Great, let's plan on Friday then. Any time preferences?
[11:41:52]<paul121[m]>anytime is good for me. maybe 8 or 9am if mstenta can make that?
[11:42:17]<paul121[m]>no worries if not!
[11:42:31]<mstenta[m]>hey! just catching up .... i'm spread pretty thin this week and next unfortunately :-(
[11:42:36]<mstenta[m]>i might be able to squeeze in a bit of time friday morning, but it would have to be before noon eastern
[11:42:47]<mstenta[m]>but i also trust you two to proceed without me!

[15:39:56]<symbioquine[m]>Either of 8 or 9 am PST sound good to me.

[16:45:37]<shane_aldrich[m]>I'm finally ready to start working on the Materials module and Fungi module (it's been a crazy couple of weeks at home). But now I'm running into issues with VS Code having the Fungi module Git repository inside of my forked farmOS Git repository. I want to be able to work on both without Fungi being added to my forked farmOS repository. Anyone have suggestions on how to work around this? Thanks!
[17:04:15]<shane_aldrich[m]>Maybe it's best if I just create a new Materials module repository on my GitHub account and just focus on those two?
[17:08:10]<paul121[m]>I'm not very familiar with VS Code... the git UI was confusing to me haha
[17:08:49]<paul121[m]>is your fungi module in `web/modules/*` ? if so, it shouldn't be a part of your farmOS fork... but it might appear like it is in the Git UI?
[17:15:30]<shane_aldrich[m]>I placed it in `web/sites/all/modules` hoping that would keep it separate. But VS Code wants to include it with any commits. There is a `.git` file in my `/var/www/shane-farmos.edu/` directory as well as `/web/sites/all/modules/farm_shane_fungi'. So it's a bit confusion to me. Also, I'm probably going to just rename the module to `farm_fungi` so it doesn't have my "branding" when it's ready for others to test out. 😂

[17:22:54]<paul121[m]>ah yea, I think the git repo in `/var/ww/shane-farmos.edu` might be the default farmOS composer project: https://github.com/farmos/composer-project
[17:22:54]<paul121[m]>Not sure how exactly you have it setup, but we get this when you do the docker setup too... I go into my IDE settings and tell it to exclude that directory/git repo!
[17:23:41]<paul121[m]>I think you should be fine with your module in `web/sites/all/modules` !
[17:26:35]<shane_aldrich[m]>I just forked the repo to my GitHub, cloned that to my wsl LEMP stack `/var/www/shane-farmos.edu/` directory, and did the install from there. So I don't think I even need to open that directory in VS Code. Last question before I get back to VS Code for an hour or so... If I create the Materials module in my personal GitHub, will that cause any issues with the main farmOS `2.x` branch?
[17:31:41]<paul121[m]>shouldn't cause any issues, just makes it a bit harder to merge in later
[17:32:26]<paul121[m]>don't let it stop ya!
[17:32:45]<paul121[m]>you could copy the code into your proper farmOS fork later too
[17:33:44]<shane_aldrich[m]>Technically, it's not a module at the moment, correct? If so, then you could theoretically pull it from me to add to farmOS, and take ownership at a later date.
[17:34:58]<shane_aldrich[m]>However, I remember the materials taxonomy already being in the main branch.
[17:35:08]<paul121[m]>I think so.. it just requires some git trickery that I don't know about :-)
[17:37:49]<shane_aldrich[m]>OK. I'm going to delete my farmOS instance and install it again after that. Then I'll see if the taxonomy is already there. If so, I'll delete it and get the basic Materials module created and installed for me. Let me know if I'm walking into a "trap" by going that route. 😉
[17:39:58]<shane_aldrich[m]>I guess I do have another question. Should I clear out the MariaDB farm database after I delete the instance?
[17:44:12]<paul121[m]>hmm I guess I thought you meant clearing the DB when you said "delete the instance"
[17:44:42]<paul121[m]>you'll need to have farmOS in order to make the material asset and stuff
[17:46:25]<shane_aldrich[m]>That's what I'm going for. A fresh install. Can anyone help me with removing `.git` from that directory via the command line?
[17:50:04]<shane_aldrich[m]>Never mind that last question. I actually did get it to delete. It just threw an error for `.` and `..`
