[20:33:18]* farmBOT has joined #farmos
[14:25:51]<skipper_is[m]>Sounds interesting, though I can't quite picture what it is intended to look like
[14:29:23]<paul121[m]>skipper_is: yea, right now the farmOS Aggregator itself is more of a "microservice"
[14:30:15]<paul121[m]>it exposes an API to a DB that stores OAuth tokens which can be used to read/create records on farmOS servers
[14:30:49]<paul121[m]>*but* the idea is that we can build "apps" on top of the aggregator that use all of the farmOS data
[14:31:02]<paul121[m]>the Community Aggregator is an example
[14:31:54]<paul121[m]>our first thoughts are it could have a map with the locations of farms using farmOS (this data would be supplied from farmOS servers themselves)
[14:32:24]<paul121[m]>but that is fairly simple.... it could evolve to have a UI that allows you see what crops different farms are growing (if they want to share that data)
[14:32:45]<paul121[m]>or see last years harvests records (if they want to share that)
[14:32:58]<paul121[m]>defining "what that looks like" is the next step :-)
[14:41:50]<skipper_is[m]>Ah ok, that is quite cool
[14:42:02]<skipper_is[m]>On another note, just hit 750 farm records in my FarmOS :)
[14:46:39]<paul121[m]>#levelup
[14:46:58]<paul121[m]>maybe we can give ya a special badge once you hit 1k ;-)
[14:51:43]<mstenta[m]>ooooh community badges!
[14:51:46]<mstenta[m]>haha
[14:51:50]<mstenta[m]>wonder if we could connect them to the forum somehow
[14:52:13]<mstenta[m]>eg: farmOS metrics -> aggregator -> forum badge
[14:56:09]<paul121[m]>🤔 that would be fun
[15:06:23]<mstenta[m]>that would probably have to be at the app level - not the aggregator level
[15:07:02]<mstenta[m]>need to connect farms to forum usernames somehow
[15:17:34]<paul121[m]>does discourse have any kind of API/config to do these sorts of things?
[15:21:15]<mstenta[m]>probably?
