| [23:47:13] | <generalredneck[m> | > Would also be quite cool if you could see the offspring of that individual as well |
| [23:47:13] | <generalredneck[m> | skipper_is, So I've worked on ☝️... There are some wierdnesses when you get into inbreeding. I'm used to seeing it in ancestors... but took me a bit when seeing the duplication on decendents. First, I'd like to point out that you in fact can see immediate children (and parents) on an animal record. That said here's a look with decendents implemented. |

| [23:47:39] | <generalredneck[m> | I also managed to get zooming and panning implemented |
| [00:05:29] | <generalredneck[m> | svenn7: mstenta added https://www.drupal.org/project/farm/issues/3103457. I'm pretty sure I can provide a patch to make that hook not fail |

| [09:07:24] | <mstenta[m]> | Regarding the error: I have a feeling it might be due to upgrading between distant versions |

| [09:08:19] | <mstenta[m]> | We'll probably need to wait to hear from svenn7 what version he was on |
| [09:08:40] | <mstenta[m]> | I'm assuming he's upgrading to the latest official release but that needs confirmation too |
| [09:11:38] | <ludwa6> | cool beans, generalredneck: As i am in the middle of lambing seasons, this family tree for livestock would come in real handy right about now! |
| [09:14:45] | <ludwa6> | mstenta: am looking forward to next monthly call (Jan 8, right?) to address optimising FieldKit for essential Use Cases. The geolocation feature, which was working in version before last upgrade, seems to have disappeared entirely from the UI in last upgrade. |
| [09:38:14] | <generalredneck[m> | ludwa6 you should be able to pull it in from github. I've not made a sandbox yet but I could if mstenta doesn't want to make the functionality canon and that will allow you to install it like normal. |
| [09:40:58] | <ludwa6[m]> | General red neck: thanks, but my instance is hosted at Farmer, so until Mike installs it there, I must do without. |
| [09:42:07] | <generalredneck[m> | 👍 |
| [09:42:18] | <skipper_is[m]> | You should also be able to install it from the zip in module manager |
| [09:43:48] | <skipper_is[m]> | @generalredneck:matrix.org: looking forward to giving that update a spin! Really good work! |
| [09:44:56] | <generalredneck[m> | Still an alpha. I've not tested every use case obviously. Like 8 hrs of work. I feel the biggest bugs are going to come from info that's not present. |
| [09:45:27] | <generalredneck[m> | But it should be low risk since it's all limited to that one tab |
| [09:45:57] | <generalredneck[m> | Also I dont write or upgrade data... only display |
| [09:46:55] | <ludwa6> | for tracing lines of heredity thru generations of livestock, visualisation will be a great boon. |
| [09:48:02] | <ludwa6> | generalredneck: are you running any livestock yourself? or rather developing this software for someone who does? |
| [09:49:28] | <generalredneck[m> | I have a small homestead called mcgreen Acres. We are a small honey farm with chickens ducks and rabbits. I use this type of thing for my rabbits. |
| [09:49:52] | <generalredneck[m> | I'm a drupal developer for Four Kitchens during the day though. |
| [09:50:01] | <ludwa6> | cool! those critters propagate fast, i hear :-) |
| [09:51:37] | <generalredneck[m> | Gestation in 28-34 days. Wean at 4-8 weeks. You can have a new generation in as little as 2 months if you are tough on your girls |
| [09:52:15] | <generalredneck[m> | 16 weeks you have 2-3 lbs of meat |

| [09:53:24] | <generalredneck[m> | Yeah and each litter is 1-7ish |
| [09:54:14] | <generalredneck[m> | My biggest litter ever was 13 and my biggest bunny weighed 11 lbs 3 oz at 3 years old |
| [09:55:03] | <ludwa6> | holy smokes -that’s like a small kangaroo :-) |

| [10:06:55] | <skipper_is[m]> | That is impressive, do you tag/ID then somehow to keep track? |
| [10:10:15] | <generalredneck[m> | I dont ever get more than like 25 at a time. And I use software to keep tabs on who is in what cage. I id them by characteristics and cage currently. |
| [10:12:09] | <generalredneck[m> | Ear Tattoos are really common ways to id... it's just a lot of work to me for as few as I keep around |
| [10:13:48] | <generalredneck[m> | There are several meat rabbit people around DFW so sometimes we trade out breed stock and we keep track of out pedigrees. |
| [10:16:16] | <generalredneck[m> | If I did colony raising iding would be a bigger issue. But since I separate them into their own tractors/cages... I have a lot more control over that process |

| [15:16:08] | <ludwa6> | mstenta: yep that’s it… But now, thanks to a quick answer from Jamie, i got it back again. Turns out there’s an on-off switch on the home screen of FieldKit to allow location sharing, which switch got flipped to off position by the upgrade. He’ll fix this little bug in the next FK upgrade, i expect. |
