[12:25:52]<pedrogoncalves[m>hi guys ...do you know of anyone using farmos for small dairy farm management
[12:25:54]<pedrogoncalves[m>?
[12:26:53]<pedrogoncalves[m>hi guys ...do you know of anyone using farmos for small dairy farm management
[12:28:37]<pedrogoncalves[m>I'm a web dev and also a dairy farmer ...i was thinking of using farmos in dairy management but it seems to be a system more geared towards veggies
[12:29:50]<pedrogoncalves[m>btw ...kudos from Portugal :)
[12:33:06]<mstenta[m]>hi pedrogoncalves welcome to #farmOS
[12:33:12]<mstenta[m]>you can definitely use farmOS for dairy
[12:34:08]<mstenta[m]>you can add records for each animal, and harvest logs to record milkings
[12:34:21]<mstenta[m]>there is even a "Milk" quick form for doing that specifically
[12:34:41]<mstenta[m]>(also medical records, movement logs, inputs/feedings, etc)
[12:35:39]<mstenta[m]>there aren't many features/tools specific for dairy, but it does have most of the record types i believe
[12:36:01]<pedrogoncalves[m>hey very nice Mike ...definitely will give it a try ...love your project
[12:36:36]<pedrogoncalves[m>maybe someday I can chip in if you need JS stuff
[12:36:52]<mstenta[m]>that would be great! :-)
[12:37:42]<pedrogoncalves[m>are you doing anything in JS ?
[12:37:59]<pedrogoncalves[m>drupal is PHP (not really my area )
[12:38:46]<mstenta[m]>most of core farmOS is php, but @jgaehring is working on an offline-first client app in JS that communicates with the farmOS server via API
[12:39:00]<mstenta[m]>https://github.com/farmOS/farmOS-client
[12:39:20]<pedrogoncalves[m>oh nice...i'll give it a look
[12:39:22]<mstenta[m]>It is still very young - but exciting!
[12:39:31]<pedrogoncalves[m>thanks for your help mike
[12:40:01]<mstenta[m]>anytime - hope you find it useful
[13:20:34]<cpm>ACTION salutes pedrogoncalves[m for pushing on with small dairy
[15:29:17]* cpm has quit (Quit: Leaving)
[17:24:34]<jgaehring[m]>freenode_pedrogoncalves[m]: you can also find a good overview on the technical details of the project here: https://farmos.org/development/client/
[17:24:58]<jgaehring[m]>let me know if you have any questions about that in particular
