[08:18:03]<mstenta>farmBOT: tell Leandro -- There are two main pieces you need to backup in farmOS: 1) The database 2) The sites/ directory (in the webroot).
[08:18:03]<farmBOT>mstenta: I'll pass that on when Leandro is around.
[08:18:39]<mstenta>farmBOT: tell Leandro -- The database can be backed up via a normal MySQL database dump. Or, you can install the Backup and Migrate module: http://drupal.org/project/backup_migrate
[08:18:39]<farmBOT>mstenta: I'll pass that on when Leandro is around.
[08:20:01]<mstenta>farmBOT: tell Leandro -- Backup and Migrate is nice, because you can configure it to take a backup on a regular schedule (like every night), and it will save it to the sites directory. If you have that, and it is working properly, then you only need to backup the sites directory - because that will have the scheduled MySQL backup included.
[08:20:01]<farmBOT>mstenta: I'll pass that on when Leandro is around.
[08:21:21]<mstenta>farmBOT: tell Leandro -- My suggestion would be to set up Backup and Migrate to create scheduled database backups, and then set up a routine to backup the whole webroot (including the sites directory). This will include everything you need. And it can be useful to backup the whole webroot because then you know that you will have the same farmOS version when you try to restore.
[08:21:21]<farmBOT>mstenta: I'll pass that on when Leandro is around.
[08:22:01]<mstenta>farmBOT: tell Leandro -- But the bare minimum is the database and the sites/default/files directory (or sites/[url]/files if your setup looks like that)
[08:22:01]<farmBOT>mstenta: I'll pass that on when Leandro is around.
[08:22:14]<mstenta>farmBOT: tell Leandro - Hope that helps!
