[21:36:38]<johanness_charle>Greetings, how do I enable Farm Quick Forms on FarmOs?
[04:26:21]* JustTB has joined #farmos
[07:56:20]<mstenta[m]>It should be enabled by default on new farmOS installations
[07:56:42]<mstenta[m]>But you can check (and enable it) by going to /admin/modules
[07:56:57]<mstenta[m]>That lists all the drupal modules
[07:57:19]<mstenta[m]>There is a section for farmOS modules within that
[08:42:55]<mstenta[m]>johanness_charles: After you have the farm_quick module enabled, you will see a new "Quick" tab on the farmOS dashboard - and from there you can enable individual quick forms.

[16:06:36]<karna[m]>mstenta: Hey Mike, hope you're well. Wondered if you (or anybody else around!) knows how easy/difficult it'll be to extend FarmOS to allow for mapping of people to areas such that each can only view and add data to that particular area, whilst managers can see data in all of the areas? It's basically for some research we're doing, collecting data on harvests in allotments to estimate crop yields in such spaces. Has anybody
[16:06:37]<karna[m]>else reconfigured the project for anything like this already or do you know of any other Drupal projects with such an organisational structure?
[16:06:38]<karna[m]>Cheers!

[18:20:47]<mstenta[m]>@karna:matrix.org: there has been some talk about similar ideas, but nothing started
[18:21:43]<mstenta[m]>Organic groups is a Drupal module that provides some interesting features around creating groups of people and content associated with a particular entity
[18:21:50]<mstenta[m]>So that might be something to look at
[18:22:23]<mstenta[m]>But we'd probably have to make some farmOS specific decisions and tweaks in the process
[18:22:49]<mstenta[m]>This might be easier after areas become assets...
[18:23:08]<mstenta[m]>Right now they are Drupal taxonomy terms, which has limitations
[18:23:21]<mstenta[m]>I'm hoping to migrate them to assets in farmOS 2.x
[18:23:41]<mstenta[m]>Then we could think about access to assets more generally
[18:24:12]<mstenta[m]>Which means we could also assign certain people to certain plantings, animals, equipment, etc too, for example
